National Commercial Bank (NCB)
Please complete our pre-assessment form as soon as possible and a member of our team will give you a call within 1-2 hours. After your discussion, we will email further details along with a quotation for your review. The process is started after payment is made.
The account is opened 1-2 weeks after we receive your signed documents
The minimum deposit of JMD$10,000 or USD$100 will need to be transferred to your account immediately after it’s opened. You are responsible for ensuring that this is done after the account is opened. If you are located outside of Jamaica, you will be responsible for covering the courier fees.
Yes, NCB has an online banking platform where you can view your account details and conduct transactions.
Yes, you can indicate this on the pre-assessment form and we’ll process a merchant application for you which is needed for the POS machine.
NCB uses the RTGS platform like other banks in Jamaica. If the funds are
sent from a NCB Account, the funds usually reflect immediately. If the
sender selects the RTGS option from another bank, the funds should reflect
same day or within 24 hours (depending on the time the funds were sent)
No, like most banks in Jamaica, NCB does not offer this option for businesses; however, if you open a merchant account (for POS Machine or
online payments) and have been registered for 6 months, we can apply for a business credit card on your behalf at no additional cost. Otherwise, your business needs to be registered for a period of 1 year and your account with NCB needs to be at least 6 months old before a business credit card can be issued.
After payment, you will be asked to complete our online form so our team
can prepare your documents and send to you for signing via TARA or FedEx. After all signatories have signed, we will dispatch a courier to collect the documents and we’ll then submit them to the bank on your behalf. Your account will be opened within 1-2 weeks from this. POS Machines and Credit Cards can take 2-4 weeks to be processed AFTER your account is opened.
